TAMPA, Fla. — A man is dead after a shooting in Tampa on Thanksgiving day, police say. At around 3:30 p.m., officers with the Tampa Police Department responded to reports of a person shot on Charter Oak Court. After arriving, they reportedly found a man suffering from injuries from a shooting.

The man charged in a deadly road rage shooting was denied bond Monday. Joel Moreno Cobo is charged with 2nd degree murder, after allegedly shooting and killing a well-known DJ in Tampa. Dedrick Sykes, known as DJ Shy Guy, was shot and killed in the incident.

Tampa police have arrested in man in connection with the shooting death of a popular local DJ during an apparent traffic dispute in Ybor City last week. Joel Moreno Cobo, 31, was arrested Thursday on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the death of Dedrick Sykes, 41.
