Ukraine attacked Moscow on Sunday with at least 25 drones, forcing the temporary closure of two of the city's major airports, Russian officials said, in what was the biggest Ukrainian drone strike on the Russian capital to date.

Huge fires erupted in the Moscow region as officials claimed that the Russian capital and surrounding area were hit by a drone strike. Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, wrote on Telegram on November 10: "The air defence forces of the Ministry of Defense in the Ramenskoye urban district repelled an attack by two drones flying to Moscow.

The city's mayor said 25 Ukrainian drones were intercepted by Russian air defense systems. Meanwhile, the EU's foreign policy chief vows "unwavering" support for Kyiv after Donald Trump's reelection.
