The Menendez Brothers' reduced sentencing ruling means they are "likely to be released" on parole, according to legal experts. Former assistant U.S. attorney Neama Rahmani told Newsweek: "The brothers are very likely to be released within a matter of months."

In a bombshell decision, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Jesic slashed the Menendez brothers’ original life-without-parole terms to 50 years-to-life, making Erik and Lyle eligible for parole.

Now eligible for parole, the Menendez brothers could be released next month after spending more than three decades behind bars.
