Digest more
A Winter Storm Warning will go into effect at 5 p.m. this afternoon. Heavy snow, up to 20 inches, is expected to fall over the next 48 hours.
Heavy snow wrapped up in northern Minnesota, while the Twin Cities was hammered by heavy rain.
The snow will be wet and heavy. Take precautions while shoveling and take breaks as needed! The good news with this is that not as much wind is expected compared to our typical snow storms. It will be breezy Saturday, though, which will lead to some further impacts to visibility with falling snow.
