The 21st ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs started slow in Monday night's season opener against Texas Southern, but the Zags turned it on defensively and pulled away in the second half to win it 98-43.

The Zags missed their first six shots, including three close-range tries from prolific senior post Graham Ike, who also missed a 3-pointer inside the opening minutes.
