Firefighters from FDNY Engine 82 in the Bronx responded to a vehicle fire and were injured by an explosion. Several FDNY firefighters were injured Wednesday night after a large explosion occurred as they responded to a car fire in the Bronx.
The fire was reported at 7:20 a.m. on the second floor of a three-story home at 153 Brighton Ave., near Trumbull Place and Glen Avenue, according to the FDNY spokesperson. The fire was brought under control in about a half hour, at 7:54 a.m., the FDNY spokesperson said.
