The Tennessee Vols climbed three spots in this week's AP Top 25 poll because of their blowout win against the Kentucky Wildcats. Tennessee went from No. 17 to No. 14 in the AP Top 25, following a 56-34 road win over the Wildcats this past weekend.

Notre Dame reentered the top 10 for the first time in two months after extending its winning streak to six with a convincing 25-10 victory over Boston College. The Fighting Irish climbed two spots in the poll. Losses by Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Miami created openings for BYU, up to No. 8, and Texas Tech, which jumped to No. 9.

Vanderbilt earned its highest AP Top 25 ranking in 88 years, while LSU dropped out of the poll following its third loss in four games.
