A person of interest was taken into custody overnight in connection with the shooting at Brown University, officials said on Sunday.

One suspect is in custody as an active shooter situation develops on Brown University’s campus in Providence, Rhode Island, according to an emergency alert from the university.

Surveillance video released by police shows the suspect, dressed in black, calmly walking away from the scene.
