An NYPD detective who was shot in a friendly fire incident Friday in Queens​ is being released from the hospital.

Det. Corey Fisher left Jamaica Hospital, his pregnant wife by his side, in a wheelchair and was taken home to continue his recovery.

Fisher was part of a team of undercover narcotics detectives who happened to be driving by when officers responded to the incident and assisted in the arrest of the career criminal.
