During his press conference on Monday, coach Fran Brown said freshman Joseph Filardi is the “guy going in at quarterback” on Saturday, and fans can reasonably assume he will start for the Orange.

The Syracuse Orange take on the Utah Utes at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Friday's meeting is the first of the season between the two teams.
