Mohamed Salah was left on the bench, his third successive game out of the starting XI, in a further sign that head coach Arne Slot has lost faith in the attacker. The 33-year-old had started every Premier League game under Slot until last week’s meeting with West Ham but with Liverpool’s form suffering, Salah has been demoted.
