Massive traffic snarls inconvenienced commuters crossing the Delhi-Noida border as farmers marched towards the national capital. Police set up barricades and deployed heavy security due to the protest.

The Supreme Court on Monday directed farm leaders to persuade protestors not to obstruct highways or cause inconveniences to the public.

The Bhartiya Kisan Parishad, and is being supported by the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) and other farmer organisations organised a protest march on December 2, leading to massive traffic jam in Delhi and NCR.

The Noida traffic police have issued a traffic advisory in view of the farmers' protest march from Noida to Delhi.

Farmers from Punjab, who announced that they will march towards Delhi to demand a discussion on Minimum Support Price (MSP), broke police barriers near the Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida and began moving towards Delhi.
