The third and final week of the 2025 NFL preseason opened with a Thursday night doubleheader featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, New York Giants and New England Patriots.

Carolina is expected to sit its top two quarterbacks, Bryce Young and Andy Dalton, giving the Steelers’ defense another potential edge early in the game. While the Panthers finalize a battle for the third QB spot, Skylar Thompson will try to wrap up the No. 3 QB job for Pittsburgh.
