According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, an MRI has now confirmed that Parsons did, in fact, tear his ACL in his left knee. He will miss the remainder of the 2025 season. “He faces a 9 month recovery at least,” Rapoport added, putting him on track for a potential mid-September return.
The worst-case scenario for the Green Bay Packers is now confirmed: Additional testing showed defensive end Micah Parsons tore his ACL on Sunday against the Denver Broncos and will miss the rest of the 2025 season and likely the start of the 2026 season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Shortly after the loss, FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer reported that the Packers were fearing that Parsons suffered an ACL tear. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur also sounded ominous about the injury when he spoke with reporters following the 34-26 loss.
If Parsons is indeed out for the remainder of the season, Green Bay will have to generate a pass rush with defensive ends Rashan Gary — who doesn't have a sack since Week 8 — Kingsley Enagbare (2.0 sacks) and Lukas Van Ness (1.5 sacks).
The three-time All-Pro selection immediately grabbed his knee, and the worry around Green Bay was that he tore his ACL. It was a nightmare that became a reality on Monday, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed the nature of his injury.
The Rams face the Seahawks on Thursday in Seattle and the winner of that game will be in the driver's seat for the top seed in the NFC. The Rams may have beaten the Seahawks earlier this season, but Adams scored a touchdown in that game and they only won by two despite Sam Darnold 's horrific four-interception performance.
