An Australian “serial intruder” who accosted Ariana Grande during a Wicked premiere in Singapore was sentenced to 9 days in jail Monday for being a public nuisance.

Erivo described what was going through her mind when she helped pry a fan off Grande at an incident in Singapore that resulted in jail time for the man.

The Australian was in Singapore on a 90-day tourist visa and has been in custody since his arrest. He was sentenced Monday after the prosecution requested a week behind bars on a charge that carries up to a three-month sentence, according to Singapore’s the Straits Times.

Ariana was attacked on the red carpet at the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good.
