Hundreds of Auburn residents remain under evacuation orders as water levels continue to rise along the Green River.

Auburn residents dealing with Green River flooding face several more days of high water, according to KIRO Newsradio meteorologist Ted Buehner.

Cowlitz River below Mayfield Dam also remains under flood warnings on Tuesday, “until further notice,” as the river flow has risen above 25,000 cfs—the flood stage threshold. Flooding is expected from Mayfield Dam downstream through Toledo, covering farmlands and roads, mainly near Toledo, as flows stay near 29,000 cfs through Wednesday.

It has been a mad scramble in Kent all afternoon, after the Green River jumped its banks near the West Valley Highway.

Conditions could worsen for Washington state areas impacted by deadly flash flooding as a blizzard is predicted amid ongoing warnings of flooding.

Rain that fell on Monday and another round that is expected on Tuesday could send already swollen rivers even higher, forecasters said. More storms sweeping across Washington State have prompted warnings from forecasters that the region may face additional flooding this week.
