Governor Greg Abbott has added four counties to the state disaster declaration following the July 4 flooding, bringing the total to 30 counties and allowing local officials to access resources to support those affected.

Gov. Greg Abbott was initially resistant to the plan pushed by President Donald Trump’s political team to pick up new GOP seats through a rare mid-decade redistricting.
