JJ Watt posted an update on his brother, Pittsburgh Steelers star TJ Watt, after he was hospitalized with a lung issue.

Pittsburgh Steelers star linebacker T.J. Watt underwent a successful surgery after sustaining a collapsed lung during dry needling, his brother J.J. Watt said.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Watt underwent surgery to repair a partially collapsed lung suffered after a routine dry-needling treatment at the team facility. Rapoport added that while the issue can sometimes heal on its own, Watt’s situation required immediate intervention.

Well, the cause of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt's partial lung collapse has finally been revealed. According to his brother J.J., the injury was suffered during a dry needling session at the team facility. The elder Watt said he has surgery to stabilize it on Wednesday and is being released from the hospital on Friday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are elevating outside linebacker DeMarvin Leal and offensive tackle Jack Driscoll from the practice squad to the 53-man roster for Monday’s game. Leal will come up with T.J. Watt on the sidelines due to surgery on a collapsed lung last week.
