The Detroit Tigers made their first pick of the 2025 MLB Draft on Sunday in Atlanta, taking Florida high school shortstop Jordan Yost in Round 1.

Max Clark, McGonigle, Max Anderson, and Bryce Rainer have been the quickest Tigers picks the past two years, and now Yost joins a pack designed to deliver baseball’s biggest challenge: offense. The draft opened with a Sunday surprise: Oklahoma high school shortstop Eli Willits going to the Nationals at one-overall.
