Heavy combat between Thailand and Cambodia entered a second week on Monday, with Phnom Penh claiming that Thai bombing is hitting deeper into its territory, coming close to shelters for people who had already fled dangerous areas along the border.

By Chantha Lach OU CHROV DISTRICT, Cambodia, Dec 14 (Reuters) - At nine months pregnant, 27-year-old Suang Sreang fears she will have to give birth in a rudimentary displacement camp after fleeing fighting between Cambodian and Thai troops along their disputed border.

Thousands of people have fled their homes due to renewed fighting between Thailand and Cambodia. This is the second time in four months that residents near the border have been forced to evacuate.

SINGAPORE: Singapore has called on Thailand and Cambodia to exercise restraint and for both sides to resolve their differences through dialogue amid escalating border clashes.
