Boeing stock fell after China ordered its airlines to halt deliveries of the company’s jets as part of an escalating trade war with the U.S., according to a report. Chinese airlines have been told not to accept any more Boeing deliveries and asked that carriers not buy any further aircraft-related gear from U.

Shares of Boeing fell in early trading Tuesday following a report that China has halted delivery of its jets to airlines in that country as part of the escalating trade war between the country and the United States.

The stock fell as much as 3% as China halted all purchases of US aircraft.
