Kilmar Abrego Garcia has been taken into custody after arriving at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in Baltimore. In a statement, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem confirmed his arrest and said that ICE "are processing him for deportation".

CBS News reported that hours after Kilmar Abrego Garcia was released from criminal custody, his attorneys were sent a court-required notice of his potential deportation to Uganda.

A federal judge on Monday temporarily barred the Trump administration from deporting Kilmar Abrego Garica to Uganda, pending a further hearing, NBC News reported.
