A cockpit recording of dialogue between the two pilots of the Air India flight that crashed last month indicates the captain cut the flow of fuel to the plane's engines, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

The plane's flight recorders had one pilot asking the other why they had switched off the fuel - and the other saying he had not.

A preliminary assessment in last month’s disaster focusing on fuel being cut to both engines only deepened the mystery for people grieving loved ones.
